Who these terms are between
The operator. Roya operates the creator-clipping marketplace at royaapp.co. Brands publish campaigns built on structured Brand Kits; creators make short-form videos from those kits, post them on their own social accounts, and are paid for verified views. In these terms, "Roya", "we" and "us" mean the operator of royaapp.co. Roya is a product of Hola Mundo Graphic Design, an individual establishment registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain under Commercial Registration number 135131-1. Its registered address is in the Contact section at the end of this document.
You. "You" means whoever is using Roya — as a creator, or as a person acting for a brand through an organisation account. Some sections apply only to one side; each says which.
Acceptance. You accept these terms by creating a Roya account and by using the platform. There is no separate tick-box for these terms in the product, and we do not record a per-user acceptance of them, so we will not claim one. There is exactly one thing you accept explicitly and that we do record permanently: the Brand Kit usage licence, accepted per creator per campaign — section 7 explains it.
Contact. For anything in these terms — a question, a dispute, an appeal, a complaint, a report of abuse or a security problem — write to founder@royaapp.co. A person reads it. None of it costs you anything.
Where Roya is available. Roya is a website. There is no released Roya mobile app. If one is released, these terms will be updated before it does anything.
Languages. These terms are published in Arabic and English. If you find a difference between the two versions, tell us at founder@royaapp.co and we will correct it.
Privacy. What we collect and what happens to it is set out in the Roya Privacy Policy at royaapp.co/en/legal/privacy. It is deliberately blunt about what our systems do and do not do, and it is part of the deal you are agreeing to. Read it.
1. Section map
Sections 2 to 5 cover what is not yet switched on, who may use Roya, what Roya is and is not, and your account. Sections 6 to 10 cover campaigns, Brand Kits, content and rights, submitting a clip, and how views are counted. Sections 11 to 14 cover review and rejection, earning, payouts and what brands pay. Sections 15 to 18 cover fraud, appeals, moderation and the rules of conduct. Sections 19 to 24 cover suspension and closing an account, changes, your disclosure obligation, our limits, and the law.
2. What is not yet switched on
Most of this list also appears in our Privacy Policy, for the same reason: we would rather tell you than write the rest of this document in a present tense it does not deserve.
- Instagram and TikTok connections are not offered. Both are switched off. Today, view verification runs on YouTube (automatically, using YouTube API Services) and Snapchat (by hand, from links and screenshots a member of our team reads).
- There is no Roya mobile app and no push notification. Messages reach you in the platform and by email only.
- Our scheduled background jobs are not yet provisioned. View polling, the auto-approval sweep, the 72-hour validation-window closer, payout batches, campaign settlement and refunds, fraud scans and expiry sweeps are all built as scheduled jobs. Until that infrastructure is live, every timing in these terms describes what the system is configured to do, not something already running on a clock. Where a timing matters to you and a job has not run, tell us at founder@royaapp.co and we will act on it by hand.
- Our payment integration has not been exercised against Tap Payments' live service, and recurring subscription billing is not live. Campaign funding, payouts, refunds and subscription charges are described here as the system is built to work.
- Sign-up is gated by invite code. Roya is in a private beta. Anyone can be invited; nobody can self-register without a code.
We will change these terms before we turn any of this on in a way that changes what you have agreed to.
3. Who may use Roya
You must be 18 or over. A creator profile cannot be created without a date of birth, and our server refuses the profile if that date makes you under 18. Be clear about what that check is: it is a declaration you make, checked against the date you type. It is not verification against a document or a government record. Giving a false date of birth is a breach of these terms and a ground for closing your account and stopping payouts.
One account per person. Do not create a second account to get around a suspension, a fraud strike, a probation period or a campaign cap.
Your country matters. Your country of residence, recorded once at onboarding, decides which campaigns you can see and enter, whether an advertising licence is required of you, and whether contest campaigns are available to you at all. Campaigns target countries explicitly; if your country is not targeted by a campaign, you cannot enter it.
Accurate information. The information you give us at onboarding must be true and yours. Your creator profile — country, date of birth, languages, tax status, payout currency and advertising licence details — is recorded once and cannot be edited in the product. Onboarding cannot be run again. If something needs correcting, write to founder@royaapp.co and we will correct it.
Brand organisations. A brand uses Roya through an organisation. Whoever creates it is its owner and can invite others as admins or members; roles decide what each person can do. If you act for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and the organisation is responsible for everything its members do on Roya, including funding campaigns and approving or rejecting clips.
4. What Roya is, and what it is not
Roya is a marketplace and a payment-facing operator. The brand writes the brief and sets the money; the creator makes and publishes the content; Roya runs the campaign mechanics, verifies views, decides approvals it is asked to decide, and moves the money.
Roya is not your employer and not your agent. Creators use Roya as independent people, not as employees, workers, partners or agents of Roya or of any brand. Nothing here creates an exclusive relationship: you can work with anyone else, on Roya or off it. You are responsible for your own tax and for any registration your own country requires of you.
Roya does not control your social accounts. You post from your own accounts, under your own name, and you keep control of them. We never post, edit, delete or hide anything on your accounts; we do not read your direct messages; and we do not look at media you have not submitted to a campaign.
Roya does not guarantee outcomes. We do not promise that any campaign will be available to you, that your clip will be approved, that it will earn any particular amount, or that a brand will fund a campaign at all. Views are what they are.
The platforms you post on have their own rules. YouTube, Snapchat and every other platform you publish to have their own terms, and you are bound by them independently of these. Using Roya does not excuse you from them, and a platform removing your post, restricting your account or resetting your view counts is between you and that platform. Where a platform's rules and ours conflict for a particular post, follow the stricter one.
5. Your account and its security
Sign in with a password, a passkey, or a sign-in provider. Keep your credentials to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you. If you think someone else has access, tell us at founder@royaapp.co and change your credentials.
In your account settings you can change your password, add and remove passkeys, sign out of active sessions, change your language, and request account deletion. Everything else — your name, email address, phone number, and your creator profile — is changed by us, by email, on request.
Support access. A member of Roya staff can be granted temporary access to view your account as you see it, in order to help you. That access is read-only, enforced as read-only by the database, expires automatically after 30 minutes, and requires a written reason recorded in advance. Staff cannot act as you.
6. Campaigns
A campaign is published by a brand, built on a pinned version of that brand's Brand Kit, in Arabic and English, for named platforms and named countries, with a start and an end date. Pinning matters: the kit version a campaign runs on is fixed at publication, so a campaign cannot change under you mid-flight.
There are three kinds.
CPM campaigns — paid per 1,000 verified views
The brand sets a rate per 1,000 verified views, a total budget, and optionally a minimum payout per clip and a maximum payout per clip. Then:
- Views count from the moment you submit, never earlier. Views your post had before you submitted it do not earn. This is a deliberate rule and it is shown to you when you submit.
- Each day's views are finalised through a 72-hour validation window before that day's earnings become payable.
- First submitted, first paid, until the budget is exhausted. When the budget runs out the campaign ends, and clips still accruing stop earning. There is no queue and no reservation: submitting does not reserve any part of the budget for you.
- The maximum payout per clip, if the brand set one, is a hard cap on what a single clip can ever earn.
- The minimum payout per clip, if the brand set one, is a threshold: a clip accrues normally, but its earnings become payable only once they reach that threshold. A clip that never reaches it earns nothing, and that amount is released back to the brand when the campaign settles. Look at both numbers before you submit.
Bounty campaigns — a fixed fee per approved post
The brand sets a fixed fee and a budget that is a whole multiple of it, which gives a fixed number of slots. Approval consumes a slot, and slots cannot be oversubscribed — the database arbitrates concurrent approvals, so if the last slot goes to someone else while your clip is in review, your clip does not get paid under that campaign no matter how good it is.
Contest campaigns — a prize pool, judged on published criteria
Entry is free and there is nothing to buy. Entries are scored by judges against criteria published on the campaign, and prizes go to ranked places from a prize pool. Judging is a matter of skill and opinion; a judge's score is final subject to section 16.
Where contests are available. Contests are behind a platform switch and a per-country permission, and both must pass. The contest type is off by default for every country, and it is hard-blocked for campaigns targeting Saudi Arabia. If contests are not enabled for your country, you will not see contest campaigns and cannot enter them.
Contest leaderboards become public. Once a contest's results are published, the leaderboard is readable without signing in: every approved creator's handle, platform, rank and per-criterion scores. The judges' identities are not published. If you would rather that were not public, do not enter contest campaigns.
Campaign lifecycle
A campaign moves through draft, pending funding, active, paused, ended, and settled. A campaign can be cancelled only before it goes live, from draft or pending-funding, and any deposit is refunded. Once active, a campaign ends at its end date or when its budget is exhausted, and then settles once the final validation windows have closed.
7. Brand Kits and the licence you accept
A Brand Kit is the brand's creative direction as structured data: logos and colours, typography, Arabic and English tone of voice, approved hooks, calls to action and hashtags, a do-and-don't list including cultural and religious guardrails, per-country compliance flags, source assets for you to clip, and the disclosure requirements for the post you publish.
Before the source assets unlock, you accept the kit's usage licence — once per campaign. The licence text is rendered by our server from the campaign's pinned kit version, in the language you are reading, and states four things: how many months it lasts, the territory it covers, whether it is revocable by the brand, and whether it is exclusive. Read the actual text on the campaign page; the terms differ per kit.
What that licence does and does not do:
- It grants you the right to use the brand's kit assets to make and publish content for that campaign, for that duration and territory.
- Content you publish remains your own. The licence covers only your use of the kit's assets. It is not a grant of your video to the brand.
- Your acceptance is recorded with the time, the kit version, a cryptographic hash of the exact text you were shown, and which language it was shown in. That record is permanent and cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including us — it is the proof of what you agreed to.
If a brand revokes the licence for a campaign, the campaign page shows the revocation date and future access to the kit's assets stops. It does not claw back anything you have already earned. Content you already published lawfully under the licence is not retroactively unlicensed by the revocation, but you should stop making new content for that campaign.
8. Content, ownership and rights
Your clip is yours. Roya does not take ownership of your content, and Roya does not take a licence to reuse, republish, sublicense or advertise with your clip. There is no perpetual licence here, no worldwide royalty-free grant, no licence over your name or likeness, and no waiver of your moral rights. If a brand wants to run your clip as a paid advertisement, whitelist it, or use it anywhere beyond your own post, that is a separate agreement between you and that brand, made outside Roya, and Roya is not a party to it and takes no fee on it.
What Roya does with your clip. We store the public URL of your post, the platform's identifier for it, and the public statistics we read for it. We show your handle, your post's link, its verified figures and what it earned to the brand running that campaign, so the brand can review and pay for it. We do not host a copy of your video.
What you promise about your clip. When you submit, you confirm that the content is yours to publish, that you made it or have the rights to it, that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, that anyone recognisable in it has agreed to appear, that it follows the campaign's brief and the Brand Kit's guardrails, and that it carries the required disclosure. You are responsible for it. If a third party comes to us with a rights complaint about your post, we will pass it to you and may withhold approval or payment on that clip while it is unresolved.
Brand assets stay the brand's. The kit's logos, videos and other assets belong to the brand. Use them only for the campaign you accepted the licence for, only within its duration and territory, and never for anything else.
9. Submitting a clip
To submit, you connect the account you will post from, publish your post yourself, and give Roya the public URL.
- Post from your own account. The connected account must be yours, and you must prove it — for YouTube, by putting a short code we generate into your channel description, which we read once to check. Do not submit someone else's post.
- One clip, one submission. Do not submit the same post to several campaigns, and do not re-submit an existing post as new work. Duplicate content is one of the signals in section 15.
- Your post must stay public and stay up for as long as the campaign's verification window for that clip is open. If it is deleted, hidden, made private or removed by the platform, we cannot read its figures, and views we cannot verify do not earn.
- Disconnecting an account stops verification for it, with the same consequence. Weigh that before you disconnect.
Eligibility is checked at submission. Your country must be targeted by the campaign, the platform must be one the campaign allows, you must be 18, and where your country requires an advertising licence it must be on file, unexpired, and — where that country's rules require a review — approved. A failed check gives you a reason code, not a silent rejection.
10. How views are verified, and what counts
Our system is configured to read the public statistics of your post — views, likes, comments and shares — repeatedly while the campaign's verification window for that clip is open: hourly for the first 72 hours after submission, then every six hours. A window can be extended where a platform's own reporting is late, up to a ceiling of 30 days.
- YouTube is read automatically through YouTube API Services under our own developer key. You do not sign in to Google, and we hold no Google authorisation for your channel.
- Snapchat is verified by hand. You supply the public link and screenshots; a member of our team reads the figures and their identity is recorded against the entry.
Every reading is written to a permanent snapshot holding the counts at that moment, the time of the check, and the platform's response as it was returned. These snapshots cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including our own administrators — the database blocks it. They are the evidence for what you were paid. Payment evidence that can be quietly edited is worthless, which is why it is built this way, and why we cannot remove things from it later.
What counts. Only what the platform reports publicly, from your submission time onward, inside the verification window, on the clip you submitted, from the account you connected. If a platform revises its own figures downward, our records follow the platform, and a correction is made by adding a reversing entry — never by editing the original.
11. Review, approval and rejection
The brand has a review window — 72 hours by default, set per campaign. Within it the brand approves or rejects your clip.
If the window passes with no decision, the clip auto-approves — unless it is flagged. A flagged clip never auto-approves. That guard is deliberate and is enforced twice over, independently.
A rejection must carry a reason. The brand chooses one of six codes — off-brief, guideline violation, missing disclosure, quality, suspected fraud, or other — and writes at least twenty characters of explanation. You see that explanation exactly as it was typed. You can appeal it under section 16.
Roya may also decide. Where a clip is flagged, or a campaign is under moderation, or an appeal is filed, the decision is Roya's, not the brand's.
12. Earning, and what you are owed
Earnings are recorded in an internal double-entry ledger. Every movement of money has matching debits and credits, entries are never edited or deleted, and a correction is always a new reversing entry. The ledger records who is owed what. It is not a wallet.
Roya does not hold your money. There is no balance you deposit into and no funds Roya holds for you to withdraw. Money sits with our payment provider or with a bank. What you have on Roya is a claim recorded in the ledger, paid out to your own bank account when you request it and it clears the checks in section 13.
A CPM clip's daily earnings become payable 72 hours after that day closes, plus a small extra delay on platforms whose own reporting settles late. A bounty or contest payment becomes payable 72 hours after approval — for a contest, after results are published, whichever is later.
Earnings can be reversed. If a snapshot is corrected downward, or if a fraud flag against your clip is upheld, the accrual is reversed or voided by a new ledger entry. We do not edit the original record; we post its opposite. Section 15 covers when that happens.
Creators keep 100% of the earned rate. Roya takes nothing out of your payout. Our fee is charged to the brand, on top of the budget.
13. Payouts
You request a payout. The minimum request is BD 5. Your request is checked against your available balance and against the hold rules below.
Identity verification is a gate. Before a creator can be paid, identity verification is carried out by Tap Payments, not by Roya. Card details and any documents Tap asks you for go to Tap directly. Until your verification status is approved, payouts are blocked. This requirement comes from our arrangement with our payment provider and from these terms — we do not claim a financial regulator obliges Roya itself to verify you.
A payout is placed on hold automatically where any of these matched:
- your identity verification is not yet approved;
- it is your first payout;
- the amount is at or above the review threshold Roya has set — currently BD 100;
- you have an open fraud flag;
- it was picked by random sampling, a rule that is currently switched off.
The hold is automatic; the decision is a person's. A held payout is released or refused by a member of Roya staff, who must record a written rationale, and that rationale is shown to you. Our internal target for resolving a hold is 48 hours. That is a target we work to, not a guarantee, and section 2 applies.
How the money reaches you. A payout is executed either through our payment provider or by bank transfer. On the bank route, our finance staff prepare a file containing your bank details and submit it to a bank in Bahrain. Instant domestic transfers in Bahrain are capped at BD 3,000 per account per day, so a larger payout may be split across days or items.
If a payout fails or is returned, the amount goes back to your payable balance through a ledger reversal, with a visible event and the failure reason recorded, and you can request it again.
Bank details are yours to get right. We pay to the account you gave us. If you give us the wrong details, we will help you chase it, but we cannot promise to recover money sent where you told us to send it.
Nothing expires quietly. Roya does not apply dormancy fees and does not absorb an unclaimed balance. If you never request a payout, the ledger keeps recording that you are owed it.
14. What brands pay
Campaign budgets are pre-funded. A campaign goes live only after its funding is captured and confirmed. The brand is charged, in one payment at funding time:
- the campaign budget, which is the money that can reach creators; plus
- a platform fee reserve of 10% of the budget — Roya's take-rate; plus
- Bahrain VAT at 10% on that fee — which is 1% of the budget. VAT is charged on the platform fee only, never on the budget itself.
So a BD 1,000 campaign is charged BD 1,110: BD 1,000 of budget, BD 100 of platform fee, BD 10 of VAT on the fee.
The fee is a reserve, not a certainty. Roya's fee is recognised as 10% of what creators actually earn. If a campaign spends less than its budget, the unused budget, the unused fee reserve and the unused VAT provision are all refunded to the brand's funding source when the campaign settles. Money that never reached a creator does not stay with Roya.
Invoices are issued with a frozen copy of the organisation's legal details as they stood on the invoice date. That copy is never updated afterwards, because an invoice has to stay accurate as a historical record. Commercial registration number, VAT number and billing address are optional to record — an invoice without them is simply less complete.
Subscriptions. Brand accounts run on a plan: Starter (free — one active campaign, one seat, basic analytics), Pro (up to ten active campaigns, five seats, full analytics and brand-kit versioning), and Enterprise (unlimited campaigns and seats, activated by Roya staff, terms agreed separately). Starter and Pro are the two a brand can select for itself. The Pro price is shown on the pricing page before you buy; where no price is shown, Pro is not yet purchasable. Plan limits are enforced — hitting them blocks a new campaign or a new seat, it does not silently bill you more. Subscription fees are for the period they cover and are not refunded pro rata if you downgrade mid-period; downgrading takes effect for the next period and does not touch any campaign already funded.
Chargebacks and reversed payments. If a brand's funding payment is reversed after creators have been paid on that campaign, the brand owes Roya that amount. Roya does not recover it from creators who were paid for verified work.
15. Fraud detection, flags and strikes
Some decisions about your clip are made automatically. These are exactly which.
Every submission is scored at intake against six signals: an unusually low ratio of engagement to views; a sudden spike in view velocity; a very new posting account; content that duplicates another submission; a pattern that looks like probing a campaign's payout cap; and an anomaly in the verification evidence. They combine into a single score from 0 to 100. The weights and thresholds are set by Roya, versioned, and recorded against every decision they produce.
- A score in the review band raises a flag for a person to look at. A flag in this band can clear by itself if nobody has picked it up and the score falls back below a lower band.
- A score in the higher band flags your clip and withholds it from approval automatically, with no person involved in that decision. A flag in this band is never cleared or downgraded by the system — only a Roya administrator can clear it.
Flags follow you between campaigns. We keep a fraud record for you as a creator, holding a strike count, the date of your last strike, and any probation period, and it is checked every time you submit.
An upheld flag cancels the money. Where a flag is upheld, the accrual for that clip is voided or reversed by a new ledger entry. Clips are also grouped into duplicate clusters, and brands are alerted to fraud patterns on their own campaigns.
Your right to a person. Any automated decision affecting you can be reconsidered by a person, free of charge and without you needing a reason to ask. Use the appeal route in the platform, or write to founder@royaapp.co.
What will get you flagged and will end your account: buying views, likes, comments or followers; bots, click farms, automated playback, or incentivising views in ways the platform forbids; re-uploading someone else's content; submitting the same content twice; running multiple accounts; and manipulating a post after submission so it reads differently to our checks than to the public.
16. Appeals
You can appeal three things: a rejected clip, a fraud flag, and a payout hold.
An appeal needs a written statement from you, and you can attach evidence. Appeals are decided by Roya staff, never by the brand whose campaign you posted for — a brand cannot be judge of its own rejection. The decision comes with a written note, and you see that note. Each appeal carries an internal response target, which is a target we work to.
If you are unhappy with an appeal outcome, or with anything else, write to founder@royaapp.co and say so. We would rather hear it than not.
17. Moderation of campaigns
Roya screens campaigns by category. Alcohol, gambling and adult content are prohibited platform-wide, with no exceptions. Health and medical campaigns are permitted only with proof of ministry approval on file and approved — until then the campaign is held before it can go live.
Roya can also put a live campaign into one of two states, and both require a written, bilingual reason that brands and creators can see:
- On hold — new submissions are blocked; clips already accruing keep accruing; reversible.
- Taken down — new submissions are blocked and new accrual is frozen; the campaign is ended.
Neither state claws back what has already been earned and posted.
18. Rules of conduct
Do not:
- give false information about your identity, age, country, or advertising licence;
- use anyone else's account, or let anyone else use yours;
- publish content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or that breaches the campaign's Brand Kit guardrails or the platform you post it on;
- omit the required disclosure (section 21);
- inflate or fake engagement by any means (section 15);
- take payment for a Roya campaign outside Roya, or arrange with a brand to route a Roya-sourced campaign payment around the platform — all compensation for a Roya campaign goes through Roya;
- scrape, probe, overload, reverse-engineer or attack the platform, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- use Roya to compile information about other creators or brands beyond what the product shows you for your own work;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute Brand Kit assets.
Brands additionally must not: use a Brand Kit or campaign to solicit content they intend to use beyond the licence they granted; reject clips in bad faith to avoid paying for work that met the brief; or ask creators to omit a disclosure their country requires.
19. Suspension, termination and closing your account
You can leave at any time. Request deletion in your account settings or by writing to founder@royaapp.co.
Read section 15 of the Privacy Policy before you rely on that. A deletion request marks your account for deletion straight away and destroys the access tokens for your connected social accounts. Fourteen days later, unless you cancel, your account is erased: your uploaded files, your sign-in credentials and your bank details are deleted, and your name, email address, phone number and social handles are overwritten. What is not erased is the money and evidence record — payouts, invoices, ledger entries, your submissions and the public addresses of the posts you made, fraud flags, verification records and audit records. Several categories, including ledger entries, audit records and view snapshots, are append-only by design and cannot be erased by anyone, including us; after an erasure we block access to what they hold instead of removing it. Erasure is also held back while you are still owed money, while you are the sole owner of an organisation, and — for up to 90 days from your request — while your account is suspended or a fraud flag against you is open.
Closing your account does not cancel what is owed. Amounts already earned and payable stay recorded in the ledger and are still paid to you: an account with a deletion request pending is not excluded from payouts, and the erasure itself is held back until nothing is owed to you. What does stop payouts is suspension. Once an account is erased there is no bank instrument left to pay into, which is exactly why erasure waits — but if you have a balance that is unusual in any way, resolve it with us before your date.
We can suspend an account. Roya may suspend a creator or a brand account where we have reason to believe these terms have been breached, where fraud is suspected, where the law or a platform's rules require it, or where an account is being used to harm someone. A suspension requires a written reason recorded by the staff member making it, and you are told. Suspension stops you using the platform and stops payouts while it lasts. You can appeal it.
We can end this relationship. Roya may close an account permanently for a serious or repeated breach — bought engagement, a false identity, running multiple accounts, or paying around the platform. Where we do that, verified work already approved and earned before the breach is still paid; earnings tied to the breach are not.
Campaigns in flight. If a brand's account is closed while a campaign is funded and live, the campaign is ended and settled in the normal way: creators are paid for verified, approved work, and the balance is refunded to the brand.
20. Changes — to campaigns, to Roya, and to these terms
A campaign's pinned Brand Kit version does not change mid-flight. A brand can pause a campaign or end it early; ending it early does not remove earnings already accrued, and the unspent balance is refunded at settlement.
Roya changes. We add features, remove them, and change how things work. Where a change affects money already earned or a campaign already funded, we will tell you before it takes effect.
These terms change. We publish the new version at this address and update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects your rights or your money, we will tell you by email or in the platform before it takes effect, and continuing to use Roya after that is how you accept it. The Arabic and English versions are updated together.
21. Disclosure and advertising rules — your obligation
Every post you publish for a Roya campaign is advertising, and must be disclosed as such.
When you submit, Roya gives you copy-ready disclosure text drawn from the campaign's rules for your country — at minimum #إعلان / #ad. You must include it clearly in the post itself. Missing disclosure is a rejection reason, and the brand's reviewer confirms the disclosure as part of reviewing your clip. You confirm at submission that you included it — we cannot read your caption, so that confirmation is yours to make honestly.
Where your country requires a licence, the number goes in the post. Advertising rules in some countries require a regulatory licence or permit number to appear in the content — a Mawthooq registration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an advertiser permit in the United Arab Emirates. Where that applies to you, the disclosure text Roya generates contains your licence number, and by publishing the post you make your licence number public. That is what those rules require. Roya does not publish it anywhere else, does not show it to brands, and does not put it in any export.
Keeping your licence current is your responsibility. An expired licence blocks new submissions in the countries that require one. It does not claw back anything already earned.
22. Availability, and what we do not promise
Roya is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of faults, that a platform's API will keep returning figures, or that any particular campaign, feature or connection will exist tomorrow. Section 2 lists what is not yet running at all.
Where a fault of ours causes a clip's views to go unread, tell us at founder@royaapp.co: we would rather verify it by hand than have you lose earnings to our infrastructure. We cannot recover views a platform itself never reported, or that were lost because a post was taken down, made private, or disconnected.
23. Responsibility and limits
What we are responsible for. Roya is responsible for running the platform as these terms describe: recording your work and your money accurately, verifying what we say we verify, paying what the ledger says you are owed, and giving you a person to appeal to.
What we are not responsible for. The content of a brand's brief; what a brand does with what it exports; the acts of another user; what a social platform does to your post, your account or your view counts; loss of earnings caused by your post being removed, hidden or disconnected; tax owed by you; or any agreement you make with a brand outside Roya.
Limit. Except for anything that cannot lawfully be limited — including fraud, and death or personal injury caused by our negligence — Roya's total liability to you arising out of these terms is limited to the greater of BD 100 and the total amount Roya earned in fees from your activity, or was paid by you in subscription fees, in the twelve months before the claim arose. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost opportunity.
Nothing in this section takes away rights the law gives you and does not let you sign away.
You cover us for your own breaches. If Roya is brought into a claim because of something you published, something you promised in section 8 that turned out not to be true, or a breach of section 18 by you, you cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.
24. Law and disputes
Come to us first. Write to founder@royaapp.co. Most disputes are a payout hold, a rejection or a flag, and sections 13, 11 and 16 resolve them faster than anything else will. Appeals and reconsideration by a person are free.
Governing law. These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Roya, are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of the Kingdom of Bahrain have jurisdiction.
If you are in Saudi Arabia, that choice does not remove protections Saudi law gives you that cannot be contracted out of, including your rights over your personal data, which are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Complaints about your personal data can be made to us, and also to the Personal Data Protection Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain or, if you are in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority.
The rest. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these terms to someone else; we may transfer ours if Roya's business is transferred, and your rights are unaffected if we do. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Brand Kit licence you accept per campaign are the whole of what is agreed between us.
